Building Update
In Fall 2018, we launched the come together fundraising campaign to make the dream of Hope House a reality. We paused the campaign when a devastating tornado ripped through the community of Taylorville. We knew the community needed to pour as much attention and funds into rebuilding homes and businesses. Once we resumed the campaign, we were able to secure enough funds to clear land (including tornado damaged trees), place the first level of the driveaway so trucks could access the building site, dig the wells, and pour and build the foundation. Scroll toward the bottom of this page to see the progress from a year ago. In 2021, we’ve been able to make additional progress. Enjoy these updated photos. Our next steps are dependent on additional funding. We thank everyone who has given in the past and continues to support Hope House of Central Illinois as it becomes a reality!
We need your help to continue the construction of a 1,600 square foot log cabin-style private retreat on seven serene acres in rural Taylorville. It will be a place where parents and families experiencing loss will be able to go during their grieving journeys. Here they will find encouragement. Support. Peace. In this place, they will find solace and healing filled with HOPE. You can join us in making this dream a reality as we come together to build hope.
